1.         Welcome and Call to order by Mayor Mike Miller.

2.         Invocation and pledge to the US flag.

3.         Roll call of council members: Ray Collett, Gene East, Dudley Evans, Darryl Meadows, James Neal, and James Watts.

4.         Monthly Reports

a.  Minutes of regular meeting on June 16, 2008 and called meeting, July 7, 2008.

b.  Financial Report ending June 30, 2008                                            

5.         Public Comment

Discussion:  Kent Olson, Vaughn and Melton Engineering firm, to discuss Right Of Way’s for sewer lines to Plateau Park.

6.         Old Business:

            6.1       Vicious Dogs—Information packet

            6.2       TML Loss Control Recommendations.  Recommendation from study committee:  James Watts, Chair, Ray Collett, Dudley Evans, and James Hines.

7.         New Business:

            7.1       Resolution 09-02:  To appoint Mark Smith to a second term on the Recreation Board beginning 7/1/08 – 6/30/13.

            7.2       Resolution 09-03:  To appoint Lisa Lee to a term on the Rockwood Industrial Development Board.

            7.3       Resolution 09-04:  To appoint Krystal Henegar to a term on the Rockwood Industrial Development Board.

            7.4       Resolution 09-05:  To re-appoint James Nuchols to the Rockwood, Water, Wastewater and Natural Gas Board as a Commissioner with a term ending 6/30/12

            7.5       Street Striping Bids:  Consider and possibly take action on taking bids for applying center and side stripes to city streets.

            7.6       Sergeant Position:  Consider and possibly take action concerning a Sergeant for the Rockwood Police Department with funds of $ 1,200 per year from a  $2400 grant from the state.

            7.7       Resolution 09-06:  To show council support of a “Y” interchange improvements to TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation).

            7.8       Resolution 09-07: Safety Grant:  Consider and possibly take action to apply for a Safety Grant for $2,000 with the local 50/50 match.  A line item has already been budget approved.

            7.9       Lakefront Property Lease.  Consider and possibly take action on ending the Lakefront Property lease.
